Yes, they were. Like chicks. A chick lying down on the rocket, launched and flying in the sky,  looks dead, .  This chick represents a helpless figure that is harassed by domestication for producing food. 

No, they aren’t. Now they can have non-feminine jobs such as engineering and technology, a predominately male profession. Women’s liberation movement solves the employment problem. 

I sometimes think of gender discrimination and conflict between man and woman. It is related to Second wave feminism. Yes, women still face discrimination in the aerospace industry.

Very similar. Chick and female, which are vulnerable to violence and harassment.
